Brigadoon
Lerner and Loewe created some of the most enduring and well-loved musicals of all time. “Brigadoon,” their first big collaborative hit, is well-loved for its imaginative, melodious score, including “Almost Like Being in Love” and “The Heather on the Hill.” These beautiful songs became instant favorites with audiences around the country, as did the magical setting and story of the Scottish town that appeared once every hundred years. Lovers of musical theatre always have a special place in their hearts for the unforgettable “Brigadoon.” Gene Kelly, Cyd Charisse and Van Johnson collaborated in the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer film released in 1954.
Music direction for “Brigadoon” will be led by Executive Director of Music by the Lake Christine Flasch, who will team with guest Stage Director Amy Hutchison.
